Delhi Infrastructure: 989 MCD buildings to go solar under partnership with NTPC NVVN

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) plans to install rooftop solar power plants on 989 of its buildings, aiming to reduce reliance on conventional power and lower electricity costs. This project could yield 10-15 MW capacity. Executed in collaboration with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) under the RESCO model, NVVN will cover installation and maintenance, reimbursed through a fixed tariff. BMC begins Coastal Road Phase 2 work on 1.2 km Goregaon stretch

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started work on a 1.2 km stretch of the Coastal Road Project's second phase in Goregaon, Mumbai. This section lies outside the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). The north phase of the project, connecting Versova to Bhayandar, encompasses elevated roads and twin tunnels, with most of its area within CRZ limits. BMC to start work on long-delayed Goregaon-Andheri bridge next month

Work on the INR 694 crore Goregaon creek bridge, a 512-meter, 3+3 lane project, is expected to begin around August. Approved by BMC in 2022, the bridge will connect Andheri West and Goregaon West, offering an alternative to New Link Road. Kakinada SEZ to set up INR 1,310 crore desalination plant in Andhra Pradesh

Kakinada SEZ Limited, an Auro Infra Realty subsidiary, is setting up a INR 1,310 crore, 3x50 MLD desalination plant in Kona Village, Kakinada District, Andhra Pradesh. An Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) recommended Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance on June 26. The plant will draw 380 MLD seawater and distribute product water to industries. Brine rejects of 230 MLD will go into the sea, but a condition requires developing a brine reuse prototype. NHAI plans to bid out projects worth INR 3.4 lakh crore in current fiscal year
