Gauhati High Court seeks progress report on Mizoram highway repairs

ED attaches INR 12.6 crore assets in Telangana real estate fraud probe

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth INR 12.6 crore belonging to Sahiti Infratec Ventures India Pvt Ltd (SIVIPL), its former director Sandu Purnachandra Rao, his family, and associates under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The action follows FIRs by Telangana Police after homebuyers alleged non-delivery of flats and villas, with the alleged fraud amounting to INR 842 crore. The ED found that funds were raised without regulatory approvals or escrow accounts, with INR 216 crore collected in cash and diverted for personal use. NCLAT allows late homebuyers' claims in Today Homes insolvency plan

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has held that genuine allottees of Today Homes Noida developer of the Ridge Residency project in Sector 135, Noida whose payments are recorded in the company's books cannot be denied claim rights simply because they applied after the 90-day window under the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP). The tribunal directed the successful resolution applicant to issue an addendum and include such late-filed claims within 30 days, treating them on par with other homebuyers in the same class. The earlier National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) bench had dismissed these claims as time-barred.Read more
