The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has opened a police post near Gate 2 of the Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station and handed it over to Delhi Police under the Patparganj Industrial Area jurisdiction. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has announced a 13-day special registration camp to fast-track pending property registrations through a single-window system. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has tightened accountability for private contractors handling national highway projects under the BOT model. The ministry has identified nearly 3,500 accident-prone stretches and will now impose financial penalties of INR 25 lakh for more than one accident within a year, and INR 50 lakh for repeat incidents. BOT contractors must also carry out crash-management and safety improvements. Officials in Jammu have issued a directive requiring landlords, property owners and commercial establishment heads to submit details of tenants, paying-guests and employees to the local police within seven days. The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) by Rakesh Minhas, the District Magistrate, follows a report from the Senior Superintendent of Police calling for enhanced verification. It also reinstates the tradition of the bi-annual Darbar Move of government offices from Srinagar to Jammu. Every police station in the district has been asked to maintain separate registers, and any non-compliance may lead to legal consequences under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).Read more

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached assets worth INR 110.05 crore, having a market value of over INR 300 crore, in a money-laundering case involving Rohtas Project Limited and its promoters. The action stems from 83 FIRs filed by the Uttar Pradesh Police after home-buyers complained that two township projects on Sultanpur Road and Raebareli Road were not developed as promised, nor were refunds provided. The agency found that funds collected from buyers were diverted for land purchases through associate firms and proxy owners.Read more
