The Kerala government has given in-principle clearance for Infopark Phase III, a 300-acre IT township planned in Kunnathunadu, Kochi. With Phases I and II at full capacity, the new project will feature commercial spaces, housing, medical and sports facilities, creating a modern IT-integrated ecosystem. Under the approved framework, Infopark will fund feasibility studies and planning, while the Greater Cochin Development Authority manages land pooling. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has signed a key agreement with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to execute track works for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. Insolation Energy has won multiple solar projects totaling 226.45 MW under the PM-KUSUM scheme, involving an investment of INR 750 crore. Its subsidiary, Insolation Green Energy Pvt Ltd, secured orders from Jaipur and Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam. The projects, scheduled to be completed by 2026-27, have varying levelized tariffs from INR 2.60 to INR 3.04 per unit. Goa has inaugurated its first hazardous waste treatment plant at Pissurlem in Sattari, developed at a cost of INR 125 crore by Ponda Envocare Limited. The facility can handle 25,000 metric tonnes annually of landfillable and co-processing waste, plus 14,000 tonnes of incinerable waste, using a rotary kiln incinerator with real-time emission monitoring. Designed to prevent soil and water contamination, it integrates landfill, incineration and pre-processing units for safe disposal. Nearly 80% of the workforce are local residents employed across operations, labs, and administration, creating jobs and technical expertise. Serentica Renewables has acquired Statkraft's Indian solar business, including a 445 MWp operational plant and 1 GWp of development assets in Rajasthan. ACME Venus Urja, part of ACME Solar Holdings, has secured INR 3,892 crore from the State Bank of India to develop a 400 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project in Barmer, Rajasthan. Scheduled to be repaid over 19 years, the financing will support the installation of solar panels and a Battery Energy Storage System to maintain reliable power supply under a contract with NHPC at INR 4.64 per unit. This represents ACME's largest SBI funding and SBI's first investment in ACME's FDRE projects. The company has a 2,890 MW operational capacity across diverse renewable energy solutions.Read more
