With a European filtration unit and a removable stainless-steel dirt basket, the facility supplies more than 8,000 litres daily and can last for nearly ten weeks. After strong September showers almost filled the tanks, plans are underway to add a second 100,000-litre tank and extend the model to all five zonal offices. Coimbatore civic body reclaims OSR land worth INR 22 crore in Vadavalli

The land had been illegally sold and occupied by individuals who built houses on it. Despite earlier court orders to remove encroachments, efforts to vacate the land failed. In response to a contempt petition filed by the VNR Residents' Welfare Association, the corporation demolished the illegal structures and reclaimed the land.
