The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation conducted a focused anti-encroachment drive in the Turbhe division, removing around 75 unauthorized huts near Sanpadagaon Lake and the STP Plant in Sanpada, Sector 20. The action was carried out under the supervision of the Commissioner and senior municipal officials, with support from police, security staff, and labor teams. The operation utilized a JCB and 20 laborers. Officials emphasized that such eviction campaigns will be strengthened going forward to maintain compliance with municipal regulations and prevent unauthorized construction in sensitive areas.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation recently conducted a crackdown on unauthorized constructions in the Turbhe division. Acting on the directions of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and under the guidance of Additional Commissioner (2) Dr. Rahul Gethe and Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Dr. Kailas Gaikwad, the Encroachment Department carried out eviction actions in key areas of Turbhe.
A demolition drive was organized near the railway track close to Sanpadagaon Lake and near the STP Plant in Sanpada, Sector 20. These operations took place earlier this week and resulted in the removal of approximately 75 unauthorized huts.
The campaign saw active involvement from Assistant Commissioner and Divisional Officer of Turbhe Division, Mr. Sagar More, along with officers and employees of the Turbhe Division. Police personnel, the Encroachment Eradication Team, and security guards of the Encroachment Division were also deployed. Equipment and manpower included 1 JCB and 20 laborers to carry out the demolition efficiently.
Authorities have stated that anti-encroachment measures will continue and be intensified in the future to maintain order and ensure adherence to municipal regulations.
