Synopsis

Gera Developments is set to expand its residential portfolio with a new wellness-focused housing project in Pune, involving an investment of about INR 1,100 crore. The 8-acre development will feature nearly 1,000 apartments across two phases, with the first phase offering about 500 units starting at around INR 1.25 crore. The company has also introduced wellness amenities such as yoga, pilates, aqua aerobics, nutrition support and personalised coaching through expert partnerships. Gera Developments, which operates in Pune, Goa and Bengaluru, is additionally planning six more wellness-centric projects in the coming years.

Gera Developments has outlined plans to invest about INR 1,100 crore in a new wellness-centric housing project in Pune as part of its ongoing expansion. The Pune-based developer said the investment covers land and construction, with the land payment already completed and the remaining cost expected to be funded through internal accruals.

The company has entered the wellness-living segment with an upcoming 8-acre project designed around health, fitness and community well-being. According to Managing Director Rohit Gera, the development will include nearly 1,000 apartments built in two phases. The initial phase will offer around 500 units, with prices beginning at approximately INR 1.25 crore.

Rohit Gera shared that Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has been brought on board as the brand ambassador for the company's WellnessCentric Homes. He said the concept focuses on creating living spaces that promote health, supported by curated wellness services delivered in partnership with specialists.

The project will offer facilities such as yoga and pilates sessions, aqua aerobics, nutrition consultations, personal training and community wellness programmes. These features are expected to slightly increase construction costs compared to conventional residential projects, though the developer views the added investment as integral to the product offering.

Gera Developments has been active in the Pune, Goa and Bengaluru markets for several years, with five projects currently in progress, four of which are residential. The company also plans to launch six additional wellness-centric housing projects over the next few years, marking a broader strategic shift within its portfolio.
