NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, has commenced commercial power supply from a 6.6 MW wind component of its 100 MW hybrid renewable project located in Bhuj, Gujarat. The announcement was made through a regulatory filing on Wednesday, indicating that this segment of the project has been brought into operation from 11 December 2025.

The hybrid development is being implemented by Ayana Renewable Power Four Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, which is wholly owned by ONGC NTPC Green Pvt Ltd, the joint venture promoted by NTPC and ONGC. With the latest addition, the installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) Group has increased to 7,645.675 MW, while its current commercial capacity stands at 7,639.075 MW.

NTPC stated that the commissioning of this incremental capacity has also raised the total installed and commercial capacity of the wider NTPC Group to 84,931 MW, strengthening its renewable energy portfolio as part of the state-owned utility's broader transition programme.

The commencement of commercial operations at the Bhuj hybrid project marks another incremental step in NTPC Green Energy's wider renewable expansion strategy.
