Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy has secured a BOS order worth around INR 1,400 crore from Adani Green Energy for three solar projects at Gujarat's Khavda Renewable Energy Park. This is SWREL's first order from AGEL and includes the supply of goods and onsite services. Currently handling 6 GW in the Khavda region, SWREL aims to complete 5 GW this fiscal. The 1 GW project reinforces its leadership in Gujarat. The company now reports order inflows exceeding INR 6,450 crore this fiscal, with a total portfolio of over 24.4 GWp.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) announced that it has secured an order worth around INR 1,400 crore from Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) for three solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, recognized as one of the world's largest renewable energy hubs.
According to an exchange filing, the order, valued at approximately INR 1,381 crore, is a Balance of System (BOS) contract and includes the supply of materials as well as onsite services. This marks SWREL's first purchase order from AGEL, establishing a new strategic partnership between the two companies.
SWREL is currently executing projects totaling 6 GW in the Khavda region, with 5 GW expected to be completed within the current fiscal year. The addition of this 1 GW project reinforces SWREL's leading presence in Gujarat's solar market.
Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of SWREL, mentioned that the company has entered a strategic five-year partnership framework with Adani Green, which will further strengthen its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) leadership in India's rapidly expanding solar sector. With this new order, SWREL has achieved order inflows exceeding INR 6,450 crore in the ongoing fiscal.
SWREL offers EPC services across utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid and energy storage, as well as wind solutions. The company's portfolio now exceeds 24.4 GWp, covering both commissioned projects and those under construction.
