The Kerala government has approved the development of Infopark's Phase IV campus in Irumpanam as a mixed-use township, allocating 33.5 acres from the Traco Cable Company at a valuation of INR 200 crore. The project aims to expand Kochi's IT infrastructure and create a modern township combining office spaces, commercial facilities, and advanced amenities.

The project is also expected to attract direct investments of INR 3,000 crore, reinforcing Kochi's standing as Kerala's industrial hub.
The site, positioned adjacent to the existing Infopark campus, is strategically connected to key infrastructure, including the Kakkanad Water Metro, Kochi Metro, and the Seaport-Airport four-lane road. The government's decision to transfer land is part of its ongoing strategy to develop Kochi as a hub for artificial intelligence, global capability centres, and next-generation IT campuses.
The development will combine IT complexes with commercial establishments, designed to support innovation and business growth. With world-class infrastructure and modern planning, the township is intended to attract large-scale IT firms while facilitating ease of commuting and integration into Kochi's larger IT ecosystem.
