Synopsis

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to start registration for its e-auction of nearly 100 plots across major city locations, beginning October 27. The auction will cover six categories: residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, CNG station, and group housing plots. Registration will continue until November 17, with online bidding for residential and group housing plots on November 20, and other categories on November 21. This move follows a one-and-a-half-year pause due to RERA regulations and marks the resumption of the DDA's e-auction initiative, offering multiple investment opportunities.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is preparing to launch the registration process for its upcoming e-auction, which includes nearly 100 plots in prominent areas of Delhi. Registration will open on October 27 and continue until November 17. Applicants can register online and submit their earnest money deposit (EMD) through the DDA's official e-auction portal. A dedicated help desk has been set up to assist participants throughout the process.

The plots are classified into six categories, including residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, CNG station, and group housing. Specifically, the auction features 17 residential plots in Rohini and Rajendra Nagar; 11 institutional plots in Rohini, including those for religious use; 18 commercial plots in Pitampura; 44 industrial plots across Kirti Nagar, Mangolpuri, and Okhla; a single CNG station plot in Yamuna Vihar; and two group housing plots, including one in Dwarka. These plots comprise both reclaimed and newly identified sites, providing diverse options for investors and developers.

Prior to 2022, DDA held quarterly e-auctions based on land records from various departments. However, the process was halted for about one and a half years following the introduction of RERA regulations. Licensed property auctions have resumed recently, and this initiative is the latest in the series, aligning with the authority's ongoing land disposal strategy.

Online bidding for residential and group housing plots will take place on November 20, while institutional, industrial, CNG, and commercial plots will be auctioned on November 21. According to DDA officials, this scheme, launched around Diwali, provides a significant opportunity to invest in the city's prime locations. Detailed information about the plots and the application procedure is accessible on the DDA e-auction portal.
