Synopsis

EXELmoto, the electric mobility brand supported by Suniel Shetty, KL Rahul, Ahan Shetty, and Akshai Varde, has announced a major expansion with the launch of its B2B logistics division in partnership with Delhivery India Limited. The company also introduced 'Scoot' a license-free electric cycle designed for everyday convenience, especially targeting women and elderly riders. Following strong preorder demand for its personal mobility bikes, EXELmoto aims to strengthen its manufacturing capacity, scale production, and extend its presence across domestic and international markets.

EXELmoto, the celebrity-backed electric mobility brand founded by Akshai Varde, has entered a new phase of growth with the launch of its B2B division in collaboration with Delhivery India Limited. Alongside this, the company introduced its latest innovation, the 'Scoot,' an electric cycle designed with scooter-style comfort and intuitive pedal assistance to cater to a wide range of riders.

The 'Scoot' focuses on providing an easy, affordable, and accessible mode of transport for women and senior citizens, encouraging independence and active lifestyles. With no requirement for a license or registration, it positions itself as one of the most economical micro-mobility solutions in India.

After a successful preorder campaign earlier this year for its personal mobility bikes, EXELmoto recorded significant consumer interest, marking a milestone in its journey toward expanding sustainable transportation options. These preorders applied exclusively to the personal mobility segment, separate from commercial operations.

The association with Delhivery represents a strategic step into commercial logistics. EXELmoto has developed a bike specifically customized to meet Delhivery's operational and technical standards. The first batch of 200 logistics bikes is currently being delivered as part of a phase-wise rollout, following successful pilot testing. This partnership highlights EXELmoto's capability to provide durable and efficient vehicles for logistics applications.

Akshai Varde, Founder and CEO of EXELmoto, mentioned that Delhivery's pilot feedback confirmed the reliability of their product under real logistics conditions. He explained that the company is focusing on logistics and quick commerce segments, emphasizing that multiple commercial models would be explored as production volumes grow. Varde added that the personal mobility segment had already achieved strong unit economics with positive margins from the start, forming a steady foundation for scalability.

The 'Scoot' itself offers a simple, bench-style seat and a pedal-assist system, blending comfort with practicality. Its inclusive design makes it suitable for women and elderly users seeking convenience without the complexities of traditional vehicles.

This development marks the first joint venture by actor-entrepreneur Suniel Shetty, cricketer KL Rahul, and actor Ahan Shetty as co-investors in an electric mobility company. Their involvement brings both credibility and cross-generational appeal to EXELmoto's brand image.

Suniel Shetty, who also serves as a mentor to the company, noted that clean mobility solutions should cater to all age groups. He pointed out that the new scooter design reflects inclusivity and praised the company's manufacturing discipline, stating that EXELmoto is expected to achieve profitability within 12 to 18 months.

KL Rahul said the company's collaboration with Delhivery reinforces its long-term potential in building infrastructure for India's last-mile delivery ecosystem. He added that EXELmoto's commercial pivot now clearly outlines its route to profitability beyond personal mobility.

Ahan Shetty highlighted that his generation seeks evolving and purpose-driven brands. He stated that EXELmoto's progression from design-focused products to infrastructure-led growth represents meaningful impact and sustainability, both financially and socially.

Looking ahead, EXELmoto has outlined an ambitious expansion roadmap. The company plans to have 68 outlets operational with channel sales beginning next year, alongside national listings on Amazon and Flipkart. Two patents have already been granted and four more are pending across various design and engineering aspects.

Manufacturing capacity is expected to scale up to 50,000 bikes annually by the third quarter of 2026 through modular production and strategic partnerships. The company also plans to move major manufacturing processes in-house after its next investment round to enhance control and margins.

EXELmoto aims to begin exports and achieve profitability within a year of its next funding cycle. Its upcoming innovations include proprietary drivetrain and software technologies designed to improve user safety, security, and connectivity. Additionally, the brand is eyeing expansion into Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets that encourage license-free micro-mobility adoption.

The commercial e-bike designed for Delhivery's logistics operations is expected to begin pilot production toward the end of next year, while the 'Scoot' electric cycle will be available to consumers in early 2026.
