Real estate developer Brigade Enterprises Ltd has delivered strong quarter-on-quarter performance. For the latest quarter, its consolidated net profit rose to INR 162.5 crore, marking a 37 % increase compared with INR 118.98 crore in the year-ago period. Meanwhile, total income climbed to INR 1,429.86 crore, up from INR 1,138.13 crore a year back.
Management indicated the company is stepping into the second half of the fiscal year backed by firm momentum. Managing Director Pavitra Shankar said the company has a robust business-development and launch pipeline in its key markets, along with healthy leasing activity and growth in its hospitality business, and that operational performance has grown substantially over the prior year.
Brigade, which was established in 1986, is among India's leading property developers. The firm has developed projects across several major southern Indian cities - including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysuru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram - as well as at GIFT City. Its business spans residential developments, office and shopping mall projects, and it also has interests in hospitality and education sectors.
In recent quarters the company has been showing consistent improvement: for instance, earlier this year it had achieved strong growth in first-quarter results and continues to build on that with solid collections and bookings in its real-estate segment.
