Sonani Jewels has launched the world's largest lab-grown diamond jewellery showroom in Surat, covering 18,000 sq ft across two floors. The store offers over 4,000 designs in daily-wear and bridal categories, crafted in 18, 14, and 9 carat gold at its in-house factory. The inauguration, led by Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil and attended by state and city leaders, was followed by a three-day celebration, including a fashion show of 300 designs. Founder Agastya Sonani emphasised the company's 25-year journey in diamonds and the growing demand for lab-grown jewellery worldwide.
Surat has added another milestone to its reputation as a diamond hub with the opening of the world's largest showroom for lab-grown diamond jewellery. The new showroom by Sonani Jewels was inaugurated earlier this week by Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhari as Chief Guest. Surat Mayor Daxesh Mavani, Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut, District Collector Dr Sourabh Pardhi, and Venus Group Chairman Sevanti Shah were present as Guests of Honour.
The showroom is located at JCS Arcade on Ghoddod Road and covers around 18,000 square feet across two storeys. It features more than 4,000 jewellery designs in both daily-wear and bridal collections. The jewellery is available in 18 carat, 14 carat, and 9 carat gold, all produced in Sonani's own factory to ensure distinctive and consistent craftsmanship. The large inventory and in-house production capacity are expected to make the showroom a key destination for buyers looking for variety and quality in lab-grown jewellery.
Agastya Sonani, who has led the initiative, mentioned that the future of lab-grown diamonds is promising. He explained that their presence in fashion, luxury, and even royal categories is increasing, with consumers showing interest because of unique designs and competitive prices. He also highlighted that Sonani Jewels carries a legacy of 25 years in the diamond trade. The company started with diamond growing, moved into supplying loose diamonds worldwide, and eventually expanded into jewellery manufacturing with both offline stores and online platforms.
The launch was marked with a three-day celebration. The opening ceremony was followed by a jewellery fashion show where leading models showcased more than 300 designs, reflecting both modern and traditional styles. The event underlined the scale of the new showroom and the diversity of its collection.
Customers now have the option to explore Sonani Jewels' complete range online, with complimentary shipping available for purchases. This reflects the company's strategy of combining its large physical showroom presence with a digital platform to reach a wider audience.
