Radisson Hotel Group has revealed plans for five new hotel openings across Delhi MG Road, Mount Abu, Indore, Phagwara and Sasan Gir, scheduled within this year. This follows ten hotels already launched earlier in the year, with the group now operating and developing more than 200 properties. Meanwhile, Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) introduced its 116-room Gateway Ahmedabad, aimed at strengthening the Gateway brand's footprint in high-potential urban centres.
Radisson Hotel Group announced earlier this week a pipeline of five new hotel openings across India. The upcoming properties will be located at Delhi MG Road, Mount Abu in Rajasthan, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Phagwara in Punjab, and Sasan Gir in Gujarat. These additions are scheduled to open within this year.
The company stated that these projects, spread across industrial hubs, spiritual centres, and leisure destinations, reflect its commitment towards balanced regional growth and stronger domestic connectivity. Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed that the new developments were in line with this vision.
This pipeline adds to the momentum of ten hotels that the group had already launched between January and August. Radisson Hotel Group currently holds a portfolio of over 200 hotels that are either operational or under development in India.
In a parallel move, Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) announced earlier this week the inauguration of the 116-room Gateway Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The company highlighted that the Gateway brand is designed for modern travellers and serves as a doorway to authentic experiences of the destination. Leah Tata, Vice President and Brand Leader, Gateway Hotels & Resorts at IHCL, noted that Gateway Ahmedabad would deliver hospitality rooted in the essence of the locale, while further strengthening the brand's reach in promising urban centres.
With Radisson consolidating its presence through a mix of business, leisure, and spiritual destinations, and IHCL broadening its Gateway portfolio in urban centres, both groups appear focused on aligning with evolving domestic travel trends. The pipeline and new launches underline the industry's efforts to boost regional connectivity, expand guest offerings, and reinforce brand footprints across the country.
