Nexus Seawoods Mall in Navi Mumbai is set to celebrate Onam in partnership with Seawoods Malayali Samajam through its upcoming cultural showcase, Onam Opulence. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness a striking nine-metre Pookalam, a traditional floral arrangement central to Onam festivities, created from approximately 225-250 kg of fresh flowers in seven vibrant colours. The floral display will remain open for visitors throughout the weekend, offering a striking centrepiece and photo opportunity.
In addition to the elaborate floral decoration, the mall will present a series of Kerala's traditional art forms. The performances will include Thiruvathirakali, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Ethnic Fusion Dance, Poothappattu and the energetic Chenda Melam ensemble. These cultural displays aim to bring a slice of Kerala's artistic richness to Navi Mumbai audiences.
Adding to the immersive atmosphere, performers representing mythological figures such as King Mahabali, Vamana and Parashuraman will join the celebrations in a festive procession through the crowd. The event will conclude with a grand fusion act, where all the performances come together in a combined finale.
