Power Mech Projects has secured a significant order valued at INR 370.84 crore (excluding GST and BOCW Cess) from Mahan Energen Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Power Ltd. The contract is for the execution of civil works and the erection of prefabricated structural steel for the Mahan Phase-III project in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work for the 2 x 800 MW power plant includes critical components such as the boiler turbine generator (BTG) units, main powerhouse, and other ancillary systems. The project is scheduled for completion within a 30-month timeframe, marking a key development for both companies in India's power and infrastructure sectors.
Power Mech Projects has announced it has secured a major domestic order worth INR 370.84 crore from Mahan Energen Ltd, an entity under the umbrella of Adani Power Ltd. The contract pertains to the civil and structural works for the Mahan Phase-III project, a 2 x 800 MW thermal power plant located in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.
The comprehensive scope of work awarded to Power Mech Projects includes the execution of civil works and the erection of prefabricated structural steel for the power plant's core components. This covers the boiler turbine generator (BTG) units 1 and 2, the main powerhouse, the central control building, the electrostatic precipitator (ESP), the flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) system, and the limestone handling system, along with the switchyard and other miscellaneous ancillary works.
The company stated that the order, which excludes GST and BOCW Cess, will be completed within 30 months from the date of the official notice to proceed. This new contract further strengthens Power Mech Projects' order book and highlights its position as a key player in India's power and infrastructure construction sectors. The Mahan Energen project, formerly known as Essar Power M P Ltd., represents an important investment in the country's energy infrastructure to meet growing power demands.
