The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), functioning as a Navratna NBFC-IFC under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, organised a two-day programme at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi as part of the ongoing 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, observed nationwide between the first and mid-August.

The event was inaugurated by Ministry Secretary Srinivas Katikithala, accompanied by HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kulshrestha, along with ministry officials, HUDCO representatives, and personnel from other offices located at the venue. During the ceremony, Katikithala encouraged citizens to participate actively in the campaign and to display the national flag at their homes. He described the Tiranga as representing freedom, identity, unity, and honour.

Kulshrestha expressed that the celebrations served as a reminder of the country's collective heritage and aspirations. He further announced that HUDCO would distribute more than 10,000 flags via a kiosk at the India Habitat Centre and through its regional offices nationwide.

The venue was adorned in tricolour decorations, with dedicated selfie points to inspire visitors to capture their 'Har Ghar Tiranga' moments. People of varying age groups attended the programme, many proudly posing with the national flag and expressing their enthusiasm for the campaign.

By combining symbolic gestures such as flag distribution with interactive spaces and public participation, the event reflected both the spirit of independence and a collective sense of belonging. With thousands of flags set to be distributed nationwide, HUDCO aimed to extend the campaign's reach and encourage citizens to display the Tiranga as an emblem of shared heritage and aspirations.
