The Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) has approved a series of measures to boost residential infrastructure and improve property management. Key decisions include auctioning corner and intermediate sites, allocating land to families of war martyrs, and approving layouts covering nearly 400 acres to meet future housing demand. The MDA will launch mobile apps for asset tracking, record digitisation, and monitoring legal disputes over land. Civic amenity sites for hostels and facilities by energy and education departments also received approval. Additionally, sale deeds will be issued to allottees upon clearing dues. The moves aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, and social recognition in Mysuru's urban development.
The Mysuru Development Authority has announced a series of approvals aimed at expanding residential infrastructure and enhancing transparency in property management. In its latest meeting, the MDA gave the go-ahead for the auction of corner and intermediate sites, while also granting a free site to the family of war martyr MV Pranjal. Several other families of fallen servicemen will also receive land allocations as part of the authority's commitment to recognising their service.
Plans were approved for the development of new layouts covering nearly four hundred acres, with the objective of accommodating future housing demands. The MDA also authorised the launch of mobile applications to improve property oversight, enabling accurate asset tracking and the digitisation of existing records. Officials observed that the authority, which traces its origins back to the early twentieth century under a different name, currently faces challenges in maintaining precise property data due to legacy systems.
To address this, a specialised app will be introduced for tracking ongoing legal cases involving disputed lands, allowing officers to access updated case details instantly. Civic amenity sites proposed by various government agencies also received approval, including those for student hostels and facilities by energy and education departments.
Additionally, the MDA resolved to issue sale deeds to allottees of different housing categories, contingent on the clearance of outstanding installments with applicable interest. The meeting also approved steps to release notifications for land distribution and to dispose of designated properties within its jurisdiction during the current operational cycle.
By integrating technology into asset tracking and record maintenance, the authority is taking decisive steps towards efficiency and accountability. At the same time, its commitment to allocating land to families of war martyrs underlines its focus on social recognition. The combination of layout approvals, civic site allocations, and streamlined sale deed processes is expected to strengthen Mysuru's infrastructure development and ensure transparent, modern real estate administration in the years ahead.
