Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd, along with Super Handlers and Empezar Logistics, have submitted proposals to develop a substantial 174-acre multimodal logistics park in Sector Kappa-2, Greater Noida. This ambitious project, launched under a GNIDA scheme earlier this year, mandates a minimum investment of INR 1,200 crore and aims to generate over 5,000 jobs. Strategically positioned near the upcoming Noida International Airport and key freight corridors, the park will feature advanced cargo handling facilities, integrating road, rail, and air networks. This initiative is pivotal for boosting Uttar Pradesh's logistics infrastructure and transforming Greater Noida into a unified cargo hub.
Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd, alongside Super Handlers and Empezar Logistics, have put forth proposals to develop a significant multimodal logistics park in Sector Kappa-2, Greater Noida. This project falls under a scheme launched by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) earlier this year, on May 23.
The proposed logistics park spans 174 acres and is slated to attract a minimum investment of INR 1,200 crore, excluding the land cost, which is estimated to be around INR 800 crore. This ambitious venture aims to generate over 5,000 jobs within the region and is expected to considerably improve freight efficiency, bolstering the logistical backbone of Uttar Pradesh.
Strategically located, the park will sit adjacent to a dry port operated by Concor and in close proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar. The facility is designed to feature comprehensive amenities, including container terminals, cargo yards, cold storage units, and mechanized bulk cargo handling facilities.
A high-level committee, chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, recently conducted presentations related to these proposals on July 10. The final selection of the developer is pending, based on their submissions and credentials. Applicants must demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in operating container depots or rail terminals.
This proposed logistics park is a key component under the Multi-Modal Logistics Park Policy, 2024, which offers specific incentives to boost logistics infrastructure development in Uttar Pradesh and enhance supply chain competitiveness across western India.
In a related development, a separate 825-acre logistics hub in nearby Dadri is also progressing under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) initiative. Construction for this associated project is expected to begin around April next year, as part of a larger INR 8,325 crore plan for the region's logistics infrastructure.
