Synopsis

Radisson Hotel Group has added a new property to its portfolio with the opening of the 91-key D Square Statue of Unity Kevadia in Gujarat. Operated under the Radisson Individuals brand, the hotel is positioned to serve the rising demand in emerging leisure destinations. The group stated that this expansion aligns with its strategic plan to reinforce its presence in key tourism locations, particularly in Gujarat where travel-linked infrastructure is expanding rapidly.

Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its domestic portfolio with the launch of the D Square Statue of Unity Kevadia, a 91-room property located in Gujarat. The hotel operates under the Radisson Individuals brand and is strategically located to attract visitors to the Statue of Unity, one of India's prominent tourist landmarks.

The group stated that the new property offers a combination of local character and contemporary hospitality, in line with its strategy of establishing a foothold in India's emerging leisure destinations. Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO for South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group, noted that the opening of this hotel strengthens the company's presence in Gujarat. He added that the group aims to tap into tourism-driven growth by bringing high-quality accommodation closer to major attractions.

The Statue of Unity area has witnessed increased infrastructure investment over the past few years, including better connectivity, road upgrades, and enhanced visitor amenities. Radisson's expansion in this zone reflects the shifting focus of hospitality operators towards second-tier and tourist-centric markets beyond traditional metro cities.

The property is expected to cater to a blend of domestic tourists, corporate travellers, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) clients, benefiting from its proximity to the tourism complex surrounding the world's tallest statue.

As infrastructure around key cultural and tourism sites continues to improve, hospitality brands are leveraging these locations to diversify their market presence. This development not only supports local economic activity but also marks Radisson's intent to deepen its integration into India's expanding leisure and travel ecosystem.
