Synopsis

UAE-based DAMAC Group has launched a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida through its new shared-services arm, DAMAC Shared Services India (DSSI), to support its global operations. The Noida centre occupies about 22,622 sq ft of leased office space and will host over 250 employees. The company is also planning a second GCC in Pune, expected to be operational by 2026 with more than 100 staff. The twin hubs will handle essential business functions like finance, HR, operations, digital and commercial work, reflecting DAMAC's ambition to centralise global services in India.

Dubai-headquartered real estate major DAMAC Group recently strengthened its footprint in India by launching DAMAC Shared Services India (DSSI) and opening its first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida. The facility occupies approximately 22,622 sq ft of rented office space and aims to employ over 250 professionals to deliver core business services.

The Noida centre will support a broad array of corporate functions - finance, operations, sales, marketing, human resources, projects, commercial services and digital operations. This initiative is part of DAMAC's strategy to build high-performing teams by 2026, underpinning its global ambitions.

Beyond Noida, DAMAC has announced the establishment of a second GCC in Pune, which is expected to be staffed by more than 100 employees by 2026. According to the group's leadership, this expansion underlines its commitment to leveraging India's human-capital and talent ecosystem.

India continues to be a major hub for global capability centres. According to industry data, the country already hosts a large number of GCCs across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities, making it a strategic location for global firms seeking shared-services operations.

Founded in 1982, DAMAC Group is a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning real estate development, hospitality, retail, investments and data centres. The launch of its Indian shared-services arm and the setting up of these dual hubs signal DAMAC's intent to deepen its integration with India's talent and operational ecosystem.
