Logistics company Delhivery has opened an all-women distribution centre in Kochi, Kerala, bringing its total count of such facilities across India to six. The centre is equipped with women-focused infrastructure, including secure rest areas, changing facilities, ergonomically designed workspaces, enhanced safety and security features, and flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance.


The Kochi hub has the capacity to process over 1,000 parcels daily, reflecting the dedication and efficiency of its all-women workforce. Delhivery sees this initiative as part of its strategic efforts to increase women's participation in the logistics sector. The company already operates five other all-women distribution centres in Moga (Punjab), Sikar (Rajasthan), Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and Mayapuri and Shahdara in Delhi.

Prashant Gazipur, Senior Vice President of Last Mile Operations at Delhivery, noted that women employees have strengthened operations over the years by bringing discipline, consistency, and accountability to their roles. He added that their contributions improve service quality and add value to overall operations, showing that inclusive workplaces enhance both productivity and employee engagement.

Delhivery has steadily expanded its women-centric initiatives since launching its first all-women hub, aiming to create safe and supportive environments in logistics, a sector historically dominated by men. The company's efforts highlight the growing recognition of women's roles in operational efficiency and leadership within the industry.
