Noida International Airport (NIA) has signed a new agreement with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to introduce direct bus services to several important districts across western and central Uttar Pradesh. The planned network will connect the airport with Noida, Greater Noida, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura-Vrindavan, Hathras and other towns such as Bulandshahr, Hapur, Moradabad, Firozabad, Farrukhabad and Shikohabad. This partnership adds to NIA's earlier tie-ups with Haryana Roadways and the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, forming a broader plan for strong public transport connectivity.
Noida International Airport (NIA) has entered into a new partnership with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to strengthen road connectivity. Under this agreement, UPSRTC will operate direct bus services between the airport and several key districts in Uttar Pradesh, offering wider access for passengers once the airport becomes operational.
The planned routes will link the airport with Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura-Vrindavan and Hathras. The services will also reach Bulandshahr, Hapur, Moradabad, Firozabad, Farrukhabad and Shikohabad, expanding the airport's reach to towns that depend mainly on road travel.
The objective of the partnership is to ensure dependable public transport access at a time when major rail links such as metro and rapid rail are expected to take more time to develop. Airport officials noted that reliable ground connectivity is essential for smooth passenger movement and overall service planning.
This agreement adds to NIA's earlier arrangements with other state transport agencies. The airport already has a pact with the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation for air-conditioned bus services to destinations including Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Haldwani. It also has an MoU with Haryana Roadways for routes covering cities such as Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Panipat, Hisar, Ambala and Faridabad.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government continues to work on a multi-modal connectivity plan combining road, rail and bus networks to support airport accessibility. As part of this broader mobility proposal, Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway Authority are planning to deploy a fleet of 500 electric buses to assist airport travel in the region.
Until the future rail links are completed, these state-run buses will act as a practical transport option for travellers across Uttar Pradesh. Alongside this, passenger pick-up and drop-off services are being arranged through cab operators, including organised zones for app-based vehicles.
