The board of Rourkela Smart City Ltd (RSCL) held its 31st meeting to evaluate progress on its major projects and plan future work. Key officials reviewed the status of Integrated Command and Control Centre, urging executing agencies to quicken work. The board expressed satisfaction over construction under rOURkela One project, including the city command centre and Tribal Museum, Rourkela. They also discussed soft components for the museum, a large recreation park, and heritage development around Vedvyas heritage site, while stressing timely completion and quality deliverables.
The board of Rourkela Smart City Ltd met for its 31st session in Rourkela, chaired by Anu Garg, development commissioner-cum-additional chief secretary. A major agenda item was the Integrated Command and Control Centre. The board urged the executing authorities to speed up efforts and ensure this project is completed on time. They reviewed progress on the rOURkela One project and noted satisfaction with construction of the city command centre building and the Tribal Museum building.
The discussion included the museum's soft components. Board members emphasized development of content, inclusion of tribal huts, preservation and presentation of artefacts, and showcasing shrine crafts. They also received updates on plans for a large recreation park and on heritage development around Vedvyas heritage site.
Board members called for all executing agencies to maintain momentum and ensure timely completion of all projects. They underlined that quality of work, especially for public facilities and cultural components, must meet expectations. The combination of infrastructure, cultural preservation, and recreation initiatives showed RSCL's integrated approach to urban development and community enrichment.
