Synopsis

Tata Projects Ltd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI Global) to jointly design and build aircraft maintenance-repair-overhaul and hangar facilities across India. The partnership brings together Tata Projects' EPC expertise and ASI Global's structural design and modular construction capabilities to offer turnkey aviation infrastructure solutions. The companies expect this collaboration to support India's growing aviation needs by delivering safe, efficient, and faster-to-deploy facilities. The move comes at a time when the country's expanding airline fleet is creating steady demand for modern MRO infrastructure.

Tata Projects Ltd (TPL) has formed a partnership with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI Global) through a memorandum of understanding to provide design and construction services for aircraft maintenance facilities across India. The agreement focuses on developing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for MRO and hangar infrastructure, a segment witnessing increasing interest due to the rising number of aircraft operating in the country.

The collaboration combines Tata Projects' long-standing experience in engineering-procurement-construction with ASI Global's specialised strength in structural engineering and modular hangar designs. Their combined capability is expected to help aviation clients receive high-quality, safe, and efficiently built facilities with shorter delivery timelines. Both companies noted that this approach will support the broader push to expand aviation maintenance capacity in India.

Vinayak Pai, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Projects, stated that the partnership marks an important step in developing reliable and modern MRO infrastructure for India's aviation sector, which has continued to expand in recent years. Mark Langbein, Managing Director of ASI Global, said the company sees this association as an opportunity to apply its design expertise alongside Tata Projects' execution strengths, creating a more comprehensive offering for airlines and aviation operators.

Tata Projects has previously delivered large-scale infrastructure, including airport-related works, and ASI Global is known internationally for modular hangar construction methods that allow faster assembly while maintaining strict engineering standards. With airlines increasing fleet sizes and passenger volumes rising steadily, the demand for timely and dependable maintenance facilities has grown. This partnership aims to address that requirement by offering integrated solutions supported by both design innovation and construction capability.
