Servotech Renewable Power System has secured a rooftop solar project valued at around INR 74 crore under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The project was awarded by the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP).

Under this initiative, Servotech will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar plants of varying capacities for 5,886 scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) households. The project will follow a utility-led aggregation model and include five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance.

Sarika Bhatia, Whole-Time Director of Servotech, said the company had the opportunity to collaborate with NREDCAP on a project that delivers solar energy directly to thousands of community households. She added that the order reflects the company's commitment to promoting inclusive clean energy growth and highlights its ability to execute large-scale distributed solar projects efficiently and with quality.

The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is considered the world's largest domestic rooftop solar program. It aims to transform India's energy landscape by providing solar power to one crore households by March 2027. The scheme is expected to bring renewable energy access directly to underserved communities, supporting both sustainability and social inclusion.
