Away Center, promoted as India's first wellness-led coworking brand, has opened its Koramangala hub, marking its entry into Bengaluru's start-up and creative ecosystem. The company focuses on mindful, design-driven workspaces and keeps each centre under 20,000 sq. ft. to maintain intimacy and community. The new hub features spacious layouts, natural light, an integrated cafe and wellness-focused areas such as Stillness Rooms, Meditation Corners and a Reset Bar. Members also get access to coaching, therapists and weekly yoga and meditation sessions. Following its first centre in Vizag, Away plans new locations in Hyderabad, Gurgaon and another Vizag site by early 2026 under its Nano-GCC model.
Away Center, described as India's first wellness-led coworking concept, opened its Koramangala hub earlier this week, marking its formal entry into Bengaluru's evolving start-up and creative ecosystem. The company positions itself as a design-driven workspace shaped around wellness, culture and mindful working experiences. With the broader coworking sector across India moving rapidly toward managed offices and large-format expansions, the brand's Bengaluru launch reflects its attempt to restore purpose and human-scale work environments to the category.
Unlike conventional players that prioritise large footprints, Away follows a high-intent model where each hub remains capped below 20,000 sq ft. The company has said this allows it to maintain balance between intimacy, design precision and community-building. The Koramangala hub incorporates these principles through spacious layouts, generous natural lighting, and more personal workspace allocations. An integrated cafe at the entrance has been designed to welcome members and visitors into a calmer, slower working rhythm.
Udbhav Jalan, Founder of Away Center, expressed that the industry's rapid growth had shifted focus from intentional design to occupancy metrics, and he stated that Away's objective is to revive meaning and soul in shared workspaces through thoughtful design, community-led systems and cultures that support smaller but more connected teams. He noted that Bengaluru's entrepreneurial clarity made it an appropriate city for the brand's next step.
The hub introduces several wellness-oriented spaces, including Stillness Rooms and Meditation Corners geared toward mental focus, along with Private Studios, Open Stations and Enterprise Suites to support varied workflows. Its Reset Bar functions as the cultural nucleus of the community. The cafe, accessible to non-members, offers barista-style beverages and a wellness-driven menu curated in collaboration with Food Maki and Shooketh Bakery, reinforcing the brand's emphasis on nourishment and mindful breaks.
Programming at the centre extends beyond functional convenience, with weekly yoga classes, everyday guided meditations and curated evening cultural sessions such as acoustic performances and wellness workshops. Members also gain access to executive coaches, therapists and mindfulness practitioners under the brand's integrated wellness ecosystem.
The Bengaluru launch builds upon Away's initial opening in Vizag earlier this year. New locations in Hyderabad, Gurgaon and a second Vizag centre are scheduled for rollout by early 2026. All facilities follow the company's 'Nano-GCC' framework, described as a distributed network of compact, high-quality hubs that enable organisations to establish small, agile teams across Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions.
