Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) recently announced that it had finalised an agreement to develop a new 90-key greenfield Ginger hotel in Dimapur, marking its first venture in Nagaland. The company indicated that Dimapur serves as a major commercial and cultural centre in the state and said the project aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen its footprint in the Northeast, where tourism and infrastructure have seen steady improvement. The hotel, developed in partnership with T K Enterprises, adds to IHCL's growing regional presence.

The company noted that Dimapur functions as an essential economic and cultural hub in Nagaland, and rising travel demand combined with ongoing infrastructure expansion has strengthened the case for establishing a new property in the region.
It further mentioned that the development fits into its continued plan to expand across the Northeast. IHCL said it was pleased to collaborate with T K Enterprises for executing the project.
With the inclusion of this property, the company's presence in the Northeast will extend to 19 hotels, with 10 of them currently under development.
IHCL's decision to introduce a new Ginger hotel in Dimapur highlights its broader focus on strengthening its northeastern portfolio, a region where tourism activity and connectivity have been improving in recent years.
