Synopsis

Kings Infra Ventures has entered into an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish an INR 2,500-crore aquaculture technology park near Srikakulam. The plan was formalised during the recent CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam. The 500-acre project will be India's first AI-enabled aquaculture park, integrating hatcheries, indoor farming systems, processing facilities and a marine bio-actives unit through the company's BlueTechOS platform. Kings Infra will invest INR 500 crore directly, with another INR 2,000 crore expected through supporting industries. The project will also train 5,000 professionals and enable multi-species production for domestic and export markets.

Kings Infra Ventures Ltd announced that it has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to build an INR 2,500-crore aquaculture technology park near Srikakulam. The commitment was formalised during the recent CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, marking a major step for the state's seafood production ecosystem.

The company stated that the 500-acre project will serve as India's first AI-driven aquaculture park, placing Andhra Pradesh in a stronger position as a technology-oriented seafood production hub. Kings Infra, headquartered in Kerala, will contribute INR 500 crore towards core infrastructure, processing units and research and development. The remaining INR 2,000 crore investment is expected from ancillary businesses, smaller enterprises and renewable energy ventures that will operate within or alongside the park.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the facility will include hatcheries, indoor farming systems, seafood processing lines and a marine bio-actives division. All these functions will be integrated through BlueTechOS, the company's proprietary artificial intelligence operating system, which will be developed and managed from Visakhapatnam. The platform is designed to enable real-time monitoring, efficiency tracking and sustainable production practices.

The project will also include a capacity-building component. Kings Infra plans to train 5,000 aquaculture professionals over a five-year period. Additionally, the park will support year-round cultivation of shrimp, seabass, grouper and tilapia, catering to both domestic consumption and export markets.

Kings Infra's Chairman and Managing Director Shaji Baby John said the technology park would help the Blue Economy expand and create employment opportunities while establishing responsible production standards. State MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas noted that the government would facilitate land identification and approvals through a single-window system.

Andhra Pradesh remains India's largest aquaculture-producing state, supported by favourable coastal conditions and established export networks. Kings Infra, founded in 1987 and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, has long-standing operations in aquaculture, seafood exports and infrastructure development.

The company recently recorded a 22.36% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit, reaching INR 4.24 crore in the second quarter of the 2025-26 financial year. Total income increased to INR 43.45 crore from INR 30.56 crore in the same period, with the chairman stating in a regulatory filing that the growth was led by strong aquaculture division performance and steady demand from Europe, Vietnam and China.
