Synopsis

Satya Retail, an affiliate of the DS Group specialising in digital B2B distribution for the convenience retail segment, announced earlier this week that it had partnered with Infinia Technologies, a subsidiary of Sirius International Holding, to introduce the Smart AI Integrator (SAII). The platform is designed to support millions of small convenience outlets across India by integrating AI, blockchain and fintech capabilities into a unified system. The initiative aims to streamline supply and demand, strengthen financial access for small retailers, enhance operational efficiency, and deepen India's transition towards a technology-enabled retail ecosystem.

Satya Retail, a DS Group affiliate known for its work in organising B2B distribution for the convenience retail market, revealed that it had formed a partnership with Infinia Technologies, a subsidiary of Sirius International Holding, to launch the Smart AI Integrator (SAII). The digital platform has been created to support between two and three million small convenience outlets across India by improving their access to products, services, financing options and data-led tools.

India's convenience retail segment, valued at around USD 40 billion, continues to grapple with issues such as limited store space, fragmented supply chains and restricted access to working capital. SAII has been positioned as a solution that brings together multiple services on a single digital interface, enabling merchants to operate more efficiently while benefitting from integrated supply-chain support and financial services.

Ritesh Kumar, Director at DS Group, noted that the collaboration brings together Satya Retail's high-performing B2B platform, its retail network and Infinia's AI capabilities to strengthen small businesses nationwide. He indicated that SAII is expected to help merchants modernise operations, utilise financial and digital tools more seamlessly and become part of a broader connected commerce ecosystem, contributing to a more inclusive and technology-led retail economy.

Satya Retail has already established a strong presence in the B2B retail space by connecting small retailers with a wide range of FMCG products through a blend of digital ordering and an on-ground service model. The company focuses exclusively on small and medium retail outlets within the convenience segment and aims to extend digital access to those that have historically lacked direct distribution support. Having already expanded to five cities, the company surpassed an annual recurring revenue milestone of INR 100 crores and received encouraging feedback from retailers. Its strategy involves scaling to all Indian towns with populations above five lakh over the next three years while continuously upgrading its AI-driven service offerings.

SAII is being positioned as a 'digital saathi' for merchants, with integrated features including AI-based microcredit scoring and loan approvals, blockchain-enabled invoicing, digital payments, insurance and hyperlocal advertising. By facilitating instant access to working capital, automating compliance processes and reducing lending-related friction, the platform aims to broaden financial inclusion for small retailers at scale.

Arif Khan, CEO of Infinia Technologies, stated that the partnership marks an important milestone in demonstrating the real-world impact of AI and blockchain on India's digital economy. He remarked that the platform is enabling millions of retailers to access sophisticated tools that were once beyond reach and added that the initiative supports their wider mission of expanding advanced AI capabilities from Abu Dhabi to global markets. He mentioned that similar models are expected to be extended across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa in the coming months.

Amit Dutta, CEO of Satya Retail, conveyed that SAII represents more than a digital tool and serves as a technology ally for small retailers by simplifying access to products, services and microcredit. He said that the company aims to convert technology into opportunity for every convenience outlet through Satya Retail's distribution strength.

Together, Satya Retail and Infinia Technologies have reiterated their long-term commitment to advancing the digital transformation of India's retail ecosystem and enabling sustained growth for millions of small merchants across the country.
