KP Group, through its group entities, has entered into an agreement with Senvion India to develop up to 2 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid renewable energy projects across India. The collaboration combines KP Group's expertise in project development and Balance of Plant (BoP) with Senvion's turbine technology, aiming for faster and more efficient renewable energy project execution.
The framework agreement involves KP Group's entities KPI Green Energy, KP Energy, and KP Green Engineering working alongside Senvion India, a wind turbine manufacturer under the strategic ownership of Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Limited (GREDHCL), Dubai. The two companies plan to roll out projects across several Indian states over the next three years.
Under this partnership, KP Group will lead site identification and development, including land acquisition, statutory permits, approvals, and complete BoP execution. This will cover civil works, internal roads, foundations, electrical systems, and grid evacuation up to interconnection points. Senvion India will supply the wind turbines for these projects through project-specific contracts.
Faruk G Patel, Founder and CMD of KP Group, stated that the collaboration is aimed at accelerating the creation of high-quality, bankable wind and hybrid energy assets, contributing to the nation's renewable energy goals and delivering sustainable value to stakeholders. Amit Kansal, CEO & MD of Senvion India, added that combining KP Group's development and BoP strengths with Senvion's made-in-India turbine platforms offers customers a seamless, turnkey-like approach from planning to power generation.
