Synopsis

Godrej Agrovet's subsidiary Creamline Dairy Products will invest INR 150 crore to set up a new dairy processing facility in Telangana. Planned on a 40-acre site, the plant will produce value-added dairy products under the Godrej Jersey brand and is expected to generate over 300 jobs in three years. The MoU was signed at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, taking the Godrej Group's cumulative investment commitments in the state past INR 10,000 crore. With demand for protein-rich and nutrition-focused dairy products rising, the new unit will expand Creamline's production capacity, strengthen distribution across southern India and support its long-term value-added dairy strategy.

Godrej Agrovet's dairy subsidiary, Creamline Dairy Products, has announced an investment of INR 150 crore to develop a new dairy processing facility in Telangana. The company confirmed that the upcoming plant will be situated on a 40-acre site and will focus on producing a range of value-added dairy products under the Godrej Jersey brand. The project is expected to create more than 300 direct and indirect employment opportunities over the next three years.

The investment announcement was formalised through a memorandum of understanding signed at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. The development marks another significant commitment from the Godrej Industries Group, whose cumulative investment pledges in the state have now surpassed INR 10,000 crore across various business verticals. The new facility will strengthen the group's presence in Telangana, which has become an important market for the dairy and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.

According to the company's leadership, the demand for value-added dairy products in India, and particularly in Telangana, has been expanding at a robust pace. The shift is driven by heightened health awareness, changes in dietary habits, and increased urban consumption, all of which have contributed to double-digit growth in this segment. The facility will manufacture protein-rich, nutrition-focused dairy offerings in response to this evolving consumer preference.

The dairy unit has been operating in the sector for nearly three decades, building a network that spans multiple states in southern India. By expanding its production capabilities, Creamline aims to strengthen its distribution reach and broaden its product mix, which currently includes milk, curd, flavoured dairy beverages, paneer, and other packaged dairy items. The company sees the upcoming facility as an opportunity to enhance efficiency, introduce new technology-driven processing lines, and align its portfolio with emerging nutritional needs.

Godrej Agrovet, part of the diversified Godrej Industries Group, continues to integrate its food and agriculture businesses to meet the rising demand for high-quality and trusted consumer products. The forthcoming plant represents a strategic addition to its dairy operations and reinforces its long-term growth plans in the value-added segment.
