Synopsis

Ashoka Buildcon has secured an additional INR 447.21 crore work under its ongoing BMC flyover project on the Sion-Panvel Highway. The extension covers construction of Flyover Arms 1 and 2 at the T-junction near Maharashtra Nagar in Mumbai's M/E Ward, increasing the total project value to INR 1,573.79 crore. The timeline for the entire project has now been extended to 13 January 2028. The order, awarded on a percentage-rate basis, remains a domestic contract and does not fall under related-party transactions. The company had originally won the project as the lowest bidder.

Ashoka Buildcon has received additional work worth INR 447.21 crore, including taxes, for the ongoing flyover project awarded by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on the Sion-Panvel Highway. The fresh scope includes building Flyover Arms 1 and 2 at the T-junction near Maharashtra Nagar in Mumbai's M/E Ward. With this revision, the total project value now stands at INR 1,573.79 crore.

The company informed that the completion timeline for both the original and extended work has been shifted to 13 January 2028. The contract continues to operate as a domestic percentage-rate project. BMC also clarified that neither the promoters of Ashoka Buildcon nor their group have any interest in the civic body, and therefore the contract does not classify as a related-party transaction.

Ashoka Buildcon had earlier secured the original project after emerging as the lowest bidder, receiving the Letter of Acceptance in October 2024. At that stage, the project value was INR 1,126.58 crore, inclusive of taxes. The latest addition reflects BMC's decision to expand the structure to improve traffic flow at the busy junction.

The company's broader order book remains strong, with a pipeline exceeding INR 15,000 crore. Road EPC projects form the largest share, followed by Transmission & Distribution, Road HAM, Railways, and Building EPC. A significant portion of its work is concentrated in the western region of the country.
