BEML has received a fresh INR 414 crore contract from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for supplying additional trainsets required for Phase II of the Bengaluru Metro project. BEML has announced that it secured a new contract valued at INR 414 crore from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for supplying additional trainsets for the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project's Phase II. The order supports the ongoing expansion of the city's metro network, which aims to improve travel capacity and strengthen public transport across key corridors.


The company mentioned in its filing to the stock exchange that it has received an additional order for supplying trainsets for Phase II. It stated that the order is valued at INR 414 crore but did not provide further information on delivery timelines or technical details of the trains.

This latest order adds to the earlier INR 405 crore contract that BEML had received from BMRCL for supplying seven additional metro trains for Phase II. The continued orders highlight the scale of work required under the project as Bengaluru prepares for further network growth.

BEML operates across defence and aerospace, mining and construction, and rail and metro. Its metro manufacturing capabilities are supported by facilities located in Bengaluru, Kolar Gold Fields, Mysore, and Palakkad. The company also maintains R&D infrastructure along with a nationwide sales and service network to support its operations. These facilities have enabled BEML to consistently participate in major metro projects across India, including Bengaluru's multi-phase expansion.
