SmartHomes Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has joined the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), one of India's oldest and most respected business bodies. The move highlights the company's growing role in Gujarat's development, especially through its long-standing work in Dholera Special Investment Region. SmartHomes also signed an MoU with the state government during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, aligning with plans to attract global investment and accelerate large-scale infrastructure in Dholera. The company has spent over a decade supporting projects such as the expressway, international airport and activation area works. Its leadership said the GCCI membership reinforces its commitment to building a sustainable, advanced smart city.
SmartHomes Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., recently announced that it had become a member of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), a long-established institution representing many of Gujarat's most influential industries and businesses.
Founded in 1949, GCCI is among India's oldest and most respected chambers, with more than 4,000 direct members and nearly 200 trade and industry associations. Over the decades, it has played a significant role in shaping the state's economic policy landscape, supporting entrepreneurship, improving coordination between industry and government, and promoting major developmental initiatives across Gujarat.
SmartHomes Infrastructure's induction into GCCI marks a fresh milestone in its ongoing contribution to Gujarat's economic transformation, particularly through its decade-long involvement in the development of Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).
The company also strengthened its long-term engagement with the city by signing a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit earlier this week. The agreement reflects SmartHomes Infrastructure's alignment with the state's roadmap for attracting global investments, driving large-scale infrastructure expansion, and positioning Dholera as one of India's most advanced hubs for smart industrial development.
For more than ten years, the company has supported the government's mission of shaping Dholera SIR into a global centre for semiconductors, electronics, aviation, logistics, renewable energy, and high-tech manufacturing. As large infrastructure projects-such as the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, Dholera International Airport, the ABCD Building and Activation Area works-progress rapidly, the company continues to prioritise transparency, regulatory compliance, sustainable practices and long-term value creation for investors.
Founder Rupinder Singh Khurana stated that the GCCI membership represented an important achievement that further strengthened the organisation's place in Gujarat's growth narrative. He added that the MoU signed during the Vibrant Gujarat summit reflected the company's longstanding alignment with the government's vision for building a sustainable and globally competitive smart city in Dholera.
Director Meenakshi Khurana remarked that the GCCI membership was both an honour and a responsibility. She noted that SmartHomes Infrastructure's work in Dholera was guided by a farsighted approach centred on long-term value creation, investor empowerment and support for the government's aim of building India's most advanced greenfield smart city.
Established in 2015, SmartHomes Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is regarded as one of the most trusted developers in Dholera Smart City. Its portfolio includes mixed-use township developments, studio villas and apartments, residential and commercial land, industrial land aggregation, and hospitality ventures such as hotel projects. With clear-title properties, comprehensive legal documentation and a strong track record, the company continues to build sustainable communities and premium investment assets aligned with Gujarat's development agenda.
