Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV) stated earlier this week that it had signed a 72-key Mercure hotel in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, as part of its ongoing master franchise arrangement with Accor and InterGlobe. The company noted that the SIDCUL industrial area's expanding economic footprint has been driving stronger demand for dependable mid-market accommodation. THV's leadership indicated that the collaboration with Accor would combine Mercure's brand strengths with Treebo's operational efficiency. Accor's South Asia leadership also emphasised that the Haridwar launch aligns with the group's strategy of expanding midscale offerings in high-growth business locations.

Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV) announced earlier this week that it had finalised an agreement to develop a 72-key Mercure hotel in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The project is being undertaken under THV's existing master franchise arrangement with Accor and InterGlobe, a partnership that has been shaping the company's expansion strategy across India's mid-market hospitality segment.

THV Co-founder and CEO Sidharth Gupta said in a statement that the rapid development of the Haridwar SIDCUL industrial belt had been creating strong demand for dependable mid-market hotels. He noted that, through the collaboration with Accor and the Mercure brand, visitors would receive warm hospitality complemented by Treebo's established operational efficiency.

Accor South Asia CEO Ranju Alex added that the company was pleased to introduce Mercure in Haridwar through its partnership with THV, observing that the SIDCUL area offered considerable business potential. Alex mentioned that Mercure's emphasis on locally driven hospitality and midscale value positioned it suitably for the region. She further indicated that Accor and THV aimed to elevate the hospitality experience for both business and leisure travellers in Uttarakhand.

The move builds on Accor's wider India strategy of strengthening its midscale footprint, following earlier expansions in other industrial and pilgrimage-driven locations across the country.

The addition of a Mercure-branded property reinforces THV's intent to strengthen its presence in high-demand industrial and commercial corridors, while also supporting Accor's broader plan to enhance its midscale network in India.
