Tata Realty secures INR 1,280 crore green loan for sustainable Gurugram project

Synopsis

Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd has secured an INR 1,280 crore green loan from DBS Bank India to fund its sustainable Gurugram project, Intellion Park, which offers 2.1 million sq ft of Grade A office space. The funds will be utilized for certified green assets adhering to global sustainability benchmarks. DBS Bank India acted as the sole advisor and green loan coordinator. Tata Realty's commercial portfolio spans 19.6 million sq ft, while its residential arm, Tata Housing, manages over 34 projects across India and the Maldives, reflecting the group's commitment to sustainable development.

Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd has obtained an INR 1,280 crore loan from DBS Bank India to fund a sustainable commercial development in Gurugram. DBS Bank India acted as the sole advisor and green loan coordinator for the deal. Green loans are intended to support or refinance projects that offer environmental benefits, aligning with global sustainability standards.


The loan has been availed through Tata Realty's special purpose vehicle (SPV) that developed the 'Intellion Park' project in Gurugram. This Grade A office campus offers 2.1 million sq ft of office space, and the funds are being directed toward certified green assets meeting internationally recognized sustainability benchmarks.

Santanu Mitra, Head of Large Corporate Banking at DBS Bank India, highlighted that the bank focuses on real estate and infrastructure and has supported several innovative, sustainable projects across India. Sanjay Dutt, CEO of Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd, stated that the facility reflects Tata Group's legacy of social and environmental responsibility, especially as India's commercial real estate sector and green commercial campus ecosystem expand rapidly.

Tata Realty and Infrastructure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, manages a total commercial portfolio of 19.6 million sq ft under the Intellion brand. The portfolio includes 9.4 million sq ft of operational Grade A office spaces, with an additional 10.2 million sq ft under development or planned. Its residential arm, Tata Housing, has more than 34 projects in major Indian cities and the Maldives.
