The DGCA has granted approval to AVPL International's Drone Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Sisai, Hisar. This approval represents a significant development in North India's drone training ecosystem, reinforcing efforts to build a skilled workforce for emerging technology sectors.
The Hisar RPTO is equipped with ten DGCA-approved flying zones, offering comprehensive practical training in drone operation, safety, and maintenance. Preet Sandhu, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International, highlighted that the centre's mission is to equip India's youth with drone-related skills and create meaningful employment opportunities, particularly in rural regions. She noted that the RPTO aims to position Hisar as a hub for drone training, fostering regional skill development and opening career pathways across industries such as agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and security.
This approval follows AVPL International's earlier initiatives to invest in drone education and technology. The company had announced plans to invest USD 12 million to strengthen its training infrastructure and enhance drone manufacturing capabilities, responding to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the sector.
By establishing the RPTO in Hisar, AVPL International not only contributes to the expansion of drone technology education but also helps address the regional skill gap. The centre is expected to enhance employment prospects while supporting industries that increasingly rely on drones for operations and monitoring.
