NDR InvIT Trust announced earlier this week that it had completed the acquisition of MLG Warehousing and Industrial Park in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, valued at approximately INR 143.9 crore. The acquisition marks the Trust's strategic foray into Lucknow's logistics market, reinforcing its commitment to expanding across key consumption hubs in India.
The Grade-A warehousing facility spans about 4.63 lakh sq ft of leasable area and is situated on roughly 21 acres of land. Currently, the property enjoys 98% occupancy, leased to leading clients from fast-moving consumer durables, third-party logistics, retail, and paint sectors.
Located along the NH 30 (Lucknow-Raebareli Road) corridor, the warehouse benefits from excellent connectivity and its placement on the city's southern periphery ensures efficient access to nearby industrial and consumption centres.
The Trust stated that the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy of building a pan-India logistics network through high-quality, income-generating assets. It emphasised that this addition further strengthens its position as one of India's most diversified logistics infrastructure platforms.
N Amrutesh Reddy, Director at NDR InvIT, mentioned that Lucknow serves as a major consumption and distribution hub for North India, and this investment highlights the Trust's focus on entering high-growth markets. He added that NDR InvIT remains committed to developing a network of sustainable, strategically located assets that support the nation's evolving supply chain ecosystem.
Hiten Shah, Regional Business Head (East) at NDR Asset Management, remarked that the Lucknow facility represents NDR InvIT's dedication to quality, featuring modern infrastructure, efficient layouts, and multimodal connectivity suited to the requirements of prominent occupiers.
NDR InvIT Trust currently manages assets totalling 19.22 million sq ft across 67 warehouses and 37 industrial parks in 15 cities nationwide.
Through the acquisition of MLG Warehousing and Industrial Park, NDR InvIT Trust has strengthened its logistics footprint in North India while continuing to expand its pan-India presence. The move underlines the Trust's growth strategy of investing in premium, income-generating assets and enhancing supply chain efficiency across major consumption markets. The Lucknow facility is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing its logistics network in the region.
