The project, expected to commence operations in 2028, marks the debut of the luxury lifestyle brand in Maharashtra. The company's leadership expressed optimism about strong growth in transit and corporate travel, anticipating significant demand for both premium accommodation and MICE facilities in the emerging airport corridor.

Radisson Hotel Group has formalised an agreement with Hill Crest Hotels and Resorts to develop a 350-key greenfield Radisson Collection Hotel close to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. The project, anticipated to become operational in 2028, will enhance the group's total portfolio in the region to about 646 keys by the same year.

The international hospitality major stated that this venture would mark the introduction of its premium lifestyle brand, Radisson Collection, in Maharashtra. Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (South Asia) of Radisson Hotel Group, remarked that the launch of this brand in the state represented the largest expansion of its kind in their portfolio so far. He noted that as the Navi Mumbai region prepared to welcome a new international airport, the company foresaw substantial growth in both transit and corporate travel. Sharma added that the upcoming property was expected to meet the increasing demand for high-end accommodation as well as cater to MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) requirements.

He further mentioned that the company currently operated a 96-key Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Navi Mumbai, along with an 80-key Park Inn by Radisson that was scheduled for rebranding. Combined with the forthcoming 350-key Radisson Collection and a planned 120-key Radisson, the group's regional capacity would reach approximately 646 rooms by 2028.

Speaking about the Radisson Collection brand, Sharma explained that the company exercised selectivity in expanding it and currently had four properties in India, including both operational and pipeline developments. Apart from Navi Mumbai, Radisson Collection Hotels were located in Srinagar, Udaipur, and Jaipur. He indicated that the company intended to grow this brand to 12 properties nationwide by 2030.

Debasish Chakraborty, Chairman and Managing Director of Hill Crest Hotels and Resorts, commented that the collaboration aligned with a shared vision to create a landmark destination in Navi Mumbai that reflected the city's contemporary spirit. He expressed confidence that the new hotel would redefine luxury standards in the region. When asked about the project's future development phases, Chakraborty stated that while the first phase would focus on the hotel, there was potential for commercial expansion on adjoining land parcels.

Currently, Radisson Hotel Group operates and develops more than 200 hotels across India and has set an ambitious target to double this number to 500 properties by 2030.

The collaboration between Radisson Hotel Group and Hill Crest Hotels and Resorts signifies a major step in expanding luxury hospitality in Navi Mumbai's emerging airport district. With its strategic location near the upcoming international airport, the Radisson Collection Hotel aims to serve the evolving demand from both business and leisure travellers. The project reinforces Radisson's long-term commitment to India's hospitality growth and supports its broader vision of doubling its national footprint by 2030 through premium developments in key urban and transit destinations.
