KPI Green Energy has formalized a power supply agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 150 MW wind energy project. The agreement comes after a Letter of Intent issued under GUVNL's competitive bidding framework and approval of the tariff and power purchase agreement by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).
The project is slated to commence power generation on November 3, 2027, and will operate under a PPA with a fixed tariff of INR 3.64 per unit over 25 years. This addition enhances KPI Green's utility-scale wind energy portfolio and aligns with the company's roadmap to reach 10 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2030.
Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KPI Green, highlighted that the project demonstrates the company's consistent performance in competitive bidding and reinforces its commitment to India's clean energy transition. He emphasized that the milestone brings the company closer to its long-term renewable capacity target.
