The Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department has announced that property registration services in Noida and Ghaziabad will be suspended from 8 to 11 November as the online portal transitions from the NIC-operated Meghraj cloud to the National Govt Cloud (NGC). The move aims to improve system reliability, speed, and data security. Assistant Inspector General Brijesh Kumar said legal professionals and the public were notified in advance to plan their activities. With around 1,300 registrations processed daily across both cities, the two working-day halt is expected to affect revenue. Sub-registrar staff will remain on duty during the migration to assist with testing and system reactivation.
The Stamp and Registration Department for Uttar Pradesh has indicated that all property registration services in Noida and Ghaziabad will be suspended between 8 and 11 November, during which time the online portal will undergo a migration from its current NIC-operated Meghraj cloud server to the National Govt Cloud (NGC). The assistant inspector general of registration-II, Mr Brijesh Kumar, stated that the suspension is essential to bolster system reliability, speed and data security. He mentioned that legal professionals, document-writers and the public have been notified in advance so that they may plan accordingly.
In Gautam Budh Nagar (which covers Noida and Greater Noida) approximately 700 registrations are currently processed daily, while Ghaziabad handles around 600-650 transactions each day. With each transaction generating stamp duty of several lakhs of INR, the two working-day interruptions (10 and 11 November, as the first two days fall on a weekend when offices are closed) is expected to impact revenue significantly.
Officials have directed that all sub-registrar staff remain present during the migration period to ensure they can support testing and any residual functions once the system is reactivated.
