The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has issued a public notice urging all business owners operating within its jurisdiction to renew their trade licences through the corporation's online platform. The renewal applies to establishments such as hotels, eateries, sweet shops, beauty parlours, barbershops, and similar businesses governed under Section 376 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act. Traders have been advised to complete the online application process before the end of December to avoid penalties for non-renewal under the relevant provisions of the Act.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has appealed to all business operators, including hotels, restaurants, lodging and boarding houses, sweet marts, cake shops, ice cream parlours, barbershops, and beauty salons, to renew their annual trade licences as required under Section 376 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act. Business owners whose licences have expired have been instructed to apply for renewal through the NMMC's official website, app.nmmconline.in, by submitting the necessary documents before the stipulated deadline in December. The civic authority emphasised that failure to renew licences within the prescribed timeframe would attract penalties under Sections 392 and 468 of the Act.
The corporation stated that once the online application is submitted, the renewal process would also be conducted entirely through digital means as per the legal provisions. The civic body has encouraged traders to act promptly and complete their renewals to avoid disciplinary action.
