Synopsis

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has extended the registration deadline for the Atal Nagar Housing Scheme to 21 November, giving low- and middle-income buyers more time to apply. The project comprises 19 towers with 2,496 flats, offering 1-BHK units of around 30 sq m and 2-BHK units up to 54.95 sq m, priced from INR 9.82 lakh onwards. Equipped with modern amenities such as lifts in all buildings, reliable water and electricity supply with backup, landscaped green areas, play zones and parking facilities, the scheme aims to provide affordable yet well-equipped housing.

The LDA has allowed additional time for applicants to register for the Atal Nagar Housing Scheme, which had originally been expected to close earlier in the week. With the deadline now set for 21 November, interested buyers from the low- and middle-income segments in Lucknow will have more opportunity to participate. The scheme features 19 towers and a total of 2,496 flats. According to LDA officials, the flats are configured across 1-BHK units of about 30 sq m and 2-BHK units up to 54.95 sq m. The starting price for the smallest units is INR 9.82 lakh, with the larger units commanding a modest premium.

Amenities in the project have been outlined by the authority as matching modern residential expectations: lifts in all buildings, assured and reliable water and electricity supply, power-backup, dedicated play zones, green landscaping around the complex and sufficient parking space. Meanwhile, registration for another scheme by the LDA ? the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme in Dalibagh, comprising 72 flats on land previously reclaimed from illegal occupation ? concluded earlier without extension on 3 November.

By granting the extension, the LDA is accommodating greater participation and allowing more applicants from eligible categories to complete registration procedures. The move may reflect strong demand as well as the authority?s intent to ensure as many eligible beneficiaries as possible can partake in the scheme.
