Synopsis

RangSons Aerospace, a Mysuru-based firm, inaugurated a new state-of-the-art aerospace unit after partnering with Boeing. The inauguration was attended by Karnataka's Industries Minister M B Patil, who praised the company's journey from incense trading to aerospace manufacturing. He highlighted that Karnataka contributes nearly 65 % of India's aerospace and defence output. The minister also awarded certificates to 60 ITI graduates trained by RangSons, noting that 70 % have already been employed by the company, aligning with the 'Make in India' initiative.

In Mysuru, RangSons Aerospace has opened a new manufacturing unit following its recent collaboration with Boeing. The facility was inaugurated by Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, who commended the company's growth and its contribution to the state's industrial development. The new facility is situated next to RangSons' existing unit and features advanced engineering labs and modern production systems designed to meet international standards.

The minister said the progress of RangSons, which once traded incense sticks before venturing into aerospace, represents a significant milestone for local industry. He added that the Department of Industries would continue supporting such enterprises that enhance the state's role in the aerospace sector. Patil also noted that the new facility reflects "global standards in scale, design, and ambition" and lauded the Boeing-RangSons partnership as a "highly commendable collaboration."

He mentioned that the company's precision manufacturing capabilities show how Indian aerospace firms are increasingly capable of meeting global demand. During the event, Patil handed over certificates to 60 ITI graduates who underwent skill training at RangSons' plant. About 70 % of these trainees have already been employed by the company, providing local youth with job opportunities within their own region.

Patil further emphasized the importance of such skill development initiatives in sustaining the growth of the aerospace industry. He said that Karnataka, which accounts for around 65 % of India's aerospace and defence business, remains a preferred destination for aviation and defence manufacturing due to its strong research ecosystem and skilled engineering base.

He highlighted that the partnership with Boeing will help strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and complement India's broader 'Make in India' mission. The minister underlined that continuous training and investment in skill development are essential for helping the state compete globally and maintain its leadership position in the aerospace sector.

The new unit, equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure, represents RangSons Aerospace's growing ambition to expand its capabilities in precision component manufacturing. The company aims to serve global aerospace customers by adhering to high-quality and safety standards, aligning its operations with Boeing's global supply chain requirements.
