Synopsis

Godrej Housing Finance, a subsidiary of Godrej Capital, has ventured into eastern India with the opening of a new branch in Kolkata. The move marks the company's strategic expansion in the eastern and northeastern markets, aimed at strengthening its national presence. The new branch will act as a regional hub, offering home loans, including exclusive schemes for women with special interest rates and complimentary health insurance coverage.

Godrej Housing Finance, a subsidiary of Godrej Capital, announced earlier this week that it had entered the eastern Indian market by inaugurating a branch in Kolkata. The company stated that this development reflected its broader strategy to enhance its nationwide reach, particularly with an increased focus on the eastern and northeastern regions.

According to the company's statement, the newly opened Kolkata branch will function as a central hub to provide a range of home loan solutions to prospective customers across the region. It further mentioned that the firm would introduce housing loans designed specifically for women, which would be available at preferential interest rates and include complementary health cover.

Manish Shah, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Godrej Capital, observed that Kolkata represented one of the most dynamic housing markets in the country, supported by a steadily improving urban infrastructure.

With its entry into Kolkata, Godrej Housing Finance has extended its geographical reach to the eastern part of India, reinforcing its presence across the country. The initiative aligns with the company's commitment to offering inclusive and customer-focused financial products. By introducing tailored schemes, particularly for women borrowers, the firm aims to strengthen its position in one of India's key housing markets while supporting the region's growing demand for home financing solutions.
