IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement to operate a 111-key Holiday Inn in Siliguri, West Bengal. The project is being developed in partnership with Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts, a joint venture formed by Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said that Siliguri's position as a commercial and transit hub, along with its rising importance in trade and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) activities, makes it an ideal location for the new hotel. He added that the property's modern design and versatile offerings will reflect IHG's globally recognized hospitality standards.
The hotel is expected to open in 2027, further expanding IHG's presence across India. The addition of this property aligns with the company's ongoing strategy to strengthen its network in regional cities that are experiencing economic growth and increasing business travel. With this development, IHG continues to tap into opportunities in emerging Indian markets beyond traditional metropolitan areas, providing quality accommodation and services for both business and leisure travelers.
