Synopsis

iThink Logistics has launched a new AI-powered Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) platform aimed at making cross-border e-commerce easier for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The platform provides exporters with complete international shipping costs upfront, including freight, duties, and taxes, removing post-purchase surprises. It uses Generative AI to classify products accurately for compliance, offers real-time country-specific duty and tax estimates, and integrates with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, and Etsy. The solution combines affordability and enterprise-grade compliance, helping SMEs expand globally with more predictability and confidence.

iThink Logistics recently introduced an AI-powered Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) platform designed specifically for small and medium enterprises engaged in cross-border e-commerce. The platform provides exporters with transparent international shipping costs, covering freight, duties, and taxes upfront. This eliminates the need for customers to pay duties upon delivery and helps exporters avoid post-purchase surprises or delays, making international shipping more predictable and reliable.

A central feature of the platform is its AI-powered Duty and Tax Classification Engine. Using Generative AI trained on global customs databases, it automatically classifies products according to the correct Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN) codes by analyzing product titles, descriptions, and images. This reduces compliance risks and ensures accurate shipments, which is especially important as global supply chains grow more complex.

The platform also provides real-time, country-specific duty and tax estimates, which are dynamically updated to reflect regulatory changes in key markets such as the United States and the European Union. This helps exporters stay informed about changing policies, such as tariffs or tax adjustments on Indian goods, and plan their operations efficiently.

iThink Logistics has integrated the DDP model into its booking dashboard and APIs, making it compatible with major e-commerce platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, as well as custom storefronts. This allows SMEs to manage shipping and logistics seamlessly, reducing operational friction and enabling more efficient global trade.

Zaiba Sarang, co-founder of iThink Logistics, highlighted that the platform is designed to equip SMEs with the tools to compete confidently in international markets. By eliminating unpredictable costs, reducing shipping complications, and automating compliance, the platform empowers exporters to grow their businesses while minimizing risks and administrative burdens.
