The BJP government also started a fortnight-long civic service drive, aiming to enhance cleanliness and public welfare across the city.

In Varanasi, development projects totaling INR 111 crore were inaugurated and launched to coincide with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 75th birthday. The Varanasi Municipal Corporation outlined a comprehensive plan to improve the city's infrastructure while preserving its cultural and social heritage. The largest portion of the investment, INR 63.76 crore, is allocated for repairing and constructing roads covering 65.68 kilometers across all eight zones and five assembly constituencies of Varanasi. These improvements are expected to ease traffic flow and strengthen connectivity across the city.

Heritage preservation is also a focus, with 75 traditional wells set to be restored at a cost of INR 1.18 crore. These efforts aim to maintain Varanasi's historic water resources and ensure they remain functional for future generations. Social welfare initiatives include the construction of a shelter home under the Pandeypur flyover, designed to accommodate 30 individuals. The project has a budget of INR 30.28 lakh and reflects a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.

The municipal corporation announced steps for animal welfare, including the registration of domestic dogs and the launch of mobile animal capture vehicles. These measures are intended to improve public health and promote responsible pet ownership. Cultural celebrations highlighted the day with the 'Kajari Mahotsav' at Rudraksh Convention Centre. Folk artists such as Padmashri Urmila Srivastava, Ragini Chandra, and Priyanka Chauhan performed, adding vibrancy and cultural significance to the occasion.

Religious rituals were also a part of the day's events. Seers performed a 'sahastraarchan' at Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple using 1,100 lotus flowers, followed by the 'Maharudrabhishek,' which sought blessings for national unity and the Prime Minister's well-being.

In addition, the BJP government launched the 'Sewa Pakhwada,' a fortnight-long public service campaign starting from the Prime Minister's birthday and continuing until October 2. The initiative focuses on large-scale cleanliness drives across 100 city wards, parks, and statues, reinforcing civic responsibility and community welfare.
